About Me

K.J. is a Korean adoptee and creative raised in Dallas, Texas. With an undergraduate degree in Worship Arts, he has spent the majority of his life exploring how technology and the arts can help build bridges and bring people together with a sense of awe and fun.

He is a multi-medium creator and podcast host who does his best to keep things humorous and approachable. His work focuses on intersectionality and “gray areas” that encourage audiences to grow in empathy and compassion for their fellow human being.

KJ's previous roles include Worship & Creative Director and Communications Director, and he is currently a full-time web developer with the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma.

my Story

A korean american from texas

I was adopted from South Korea when I was 6 months old and spent the first 18 years of my life in Dallas, Texas. By the time I graduated High School, I had traveled the globe, learned many instruments and had produced original songs and videos (which are pretty cringe-worthy, but everyone's gotta start somewhere).

I graduated from Greenville College (now Greenville University) in 2015 with a degree in Worship Arts and got married to my High School sweetheart a year later. We moved to Springfield, MO where I served Schweitzer Church as the Worship and Creative Director for six years.

We have since returned to Dallas and alongside my work I host a podcast where I further explore the intersections of my identities.

in the workplace

I love working with small teams in fast-paced, agile environments. From developing communications strategies to crafting great user experiences for end-users and behind-the-scenes staff, I thrive when I am helping people tell great stories.

Nothing brightens my day more than helping someone solve a tough problem or using technology to reduce their headaches.

Music & Beyond

Music was my first step as a creative, but it didn't stop there. I write and direct films, produce videos and podcasts, develop websites and empower others to step into their own creativity.

Great creatives deliver fun, inspiration and meaning that augments and amplifies the message. I help individuals and organizations do just that.
